Dr. Shahrdad Kazerani
Dr. Shahrdad Kazerani is a passionate and skilled periodontist and implant surgeon who has always been drawn to the combination of science and hands-on work. Growing up in the Bay Area, with a family of dentists.
He attended San Jose State University for a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry, and then went on to Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, where he earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree and ranked 6th in his class. He also received a 1st place award for his research at the Student Scientific Association Competition.
Dr. Kazerani continued his education at the University of Detroit Mercy where he received his Master of Science in Periodontics & Implant Surgery and became American Academy of Periodontology Board Certified and Active member, Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He also worked as an Undergraduate Periodontics Clinic instructor at the University of Detroit Mercy. He also has several publications under his name in major periodontology publications.
Dr. Kazerani has over 7 years of professional experience as a periodontist, working primarily in Michigan, where he placed over a thousand dental implants and had a very successful practice. He has moved back to the bay area recently. He is dedicated to staying up to date on the latest technology, materials and techniques by attending many hours of continuing education every year. He also likes to give back to the community and has volunteered in abroad dentistry in underserved communities.
He believes that spending quality time with patients during their first visit is key to a successful treatment, since periodontal diseases are mostly chronic and needs to be explained for better understanding and care. He loves working the latest technology and materials and enjoys working with his wonderful staff.
